The Eagles signing Michael Vick was bad news for hostile animal groups and perhaps much worse news for the NFC East. I have no idea whether Vick has come out of this a better and more decent and more enlightened person.

The runaway didn’t happen, but neither did Tiger Woods lose his grip on the PGA Championship. His lead cut in half from four shots to two after a 1-under par 71, he still has one of the most impressive records in sports to fall back on.
